Terwey Research & Advisory was founded in 2026 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Torben Terwey.

As Professor of Renewable Offshore Energy with a focus on Wind Energy Engineering at Kiel University of Applied Sciences (HAW Kiel), he works on the reliability, efficiency, and durability of highly loaded mechanical systems. His research areas include wind turbine drivetrains, rotor bearing systems, tribological contacts, lifetime assessment, and the interaction between individual components and the overall system.
